Nitrile For Electrical Transformers

Nitrile For Electrical Transformers

Nitrile For Electrical Transformers

Maximum quality Nitrile regarding its mechanical properties and resistance to oils and grease.

Excellent to manufacture all type of gaskets and flanges that are in contact with the oil in distribution and power transformers

Excellent weather aging-resistance, complies with the standards required by transformer manufacturers, useful in automobile gaskets.

Physical and chemical properties: Nitrile For Electrical Transformers

  • Shore “A” hardness: 60-65; 70-75
  • Tensile strength, minimal: 1200 PSI
  • Elongation, minimal: 550; 450 %
  • Temperature Range: -13°F to 248°F
  • Oils: Excellent
  • Acids: Medium
  • Outdoors: Good
  • Abrasion: Good

This transformer grade Nitrile is used in Mexico to manufacture gaskets for distribution and power transformers, so it must meet the chemical and mechanical requirements of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to tolerate weathering, abrasion, and acids, as well as excellent resistance to the oil used in their transformers.
